Mary Neville was born in Ireland and graduated from the National College of Art & Design in 1988.
She worked as a graphic designer for five years in Scotland, before travelling in Asia for a year in 1991. From 1995 to 2000, she lived and painted in Taiwan, with a year out in 1997 to travel in Africa.
Her paintings are a celebration of colour, with her early work being more representational and invoking scenes and memories of a personal travel log from Asia and Africa. Her current work reflects the ever changing light and weather of the Dingle Peninsula. As a saying goes ........
'A man travels the world over in search of what he needs, and returns home
to find it.'
Mary has had over 15 solo shows in Dublin and taken part in over 40 group shows, during the last 19 years. Since 2000 she lives in Brandon West Kerry, where she opened Teer gallery in 2001.
Collections: Airfield Trust, Bank of Ireland and the Shannon Development Authority.
